To be sure, try the new Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, and Yasmin, they have different hormones which minimize side effects.....Yasmin is the best.

My girlfriend is taking Jazmeen and she hasn't put on any weight. I haven't noticed. She says her skin cleared up a bit too.

All birth control pills have a 5 pound average weight gain. Some women don't gain any weight. Some gain the five or more. Any hormonal birth control will have weight gain as a possible side effect. As well as head aches, acne, break through bleeding, etc...

You really can't differ the side effects from different kinds of birth control pills. Just like they said above, they are the same. However it all depends on your body. Some females will gain weight and some won't. It depends on how your body reacts to the hormones in the pill. I have been on Ortho Cyclen, Ortho Tri Cyclen and I'm currently on Yasmin. I've had no side effects from any of them except trouble with my contacts sometimes.

I use LEvlen, and have had no side affects. Do not try the patch, and the shot will make you FAT!
