When taking antibotics, does it decrease the effects of a multivitamin?

Question:

Answers:
I don't believe they have any effects on a multivitamin but it can destroy your immune system. The antibiotics cannot destinguish between the "friendly" and "unfriendly" bacteria - just kills them all.

I don't think so. But it does decrease the effectiveness of your birth control pills. So use back up methods when on antibiotics and taking BCP's.
Don't know about vitamins, but antibiotics can mess up your birth control pills.
antibiotics would not interfere with multivitamins to my knowledge - however, certain antibiotics are affected by the use of certain vitamins (the drug can become less effective). Let your pharmacist know what vitamins you are on - they can tell you if there's any known interaction.

one thing that antibiotics do effect is oral contraceptives...they actually can lower the efficiency of the pill, so if you are on BC, use backup methods during the time you are taking antibiotics (and perhaps even after that to be safe).
