I had a breast reduction that left me with horrible scars and miss placed nipples, and no bra covers them up?

I'm sorry to hear that your reduction went so badly! I had one and am thrilled, with hardly any scarring and it's only been a month.
Since it's been so long since your surgery, and since you did sign all of the fine print (saying the results vary, etc.), it doesn't sound like there's much you can do, as far as suing the surgeon. I know you don't want to hear this, but I think you should just leave it in the past. However, I do not think you should live with this botched job! Get some references from people who had the surgery done in your area and go to another surgeon. He should be able to fix what the first surgeon ruined and might even offer you a discount, due to the nature of the problem. I would get some consultations and get this fixed.
Good luck!

Talk to another attorney, that is CRAP!
Try another lawyer. It's always good to have a second opinion. It would seem like there would be somthing someone could do to help. Gross! Serves you right!

you have lived with this for 19 yrs and ? i feel bad for you but i think your case would have been stronger as a younger woman in the court.
but still..i would go with another lawyer.maybe a female this time
I know of a store close to me called Confidentially Yours, and they make bras expecially for women who have breast cancer or breast surgery like you. They probably customize bras as well. If you want more info about the store just contact me thru youqa.com and I'll see what I can do. Also I think you should try a different lawyer too, because it's ridiculous. Although they do set limits now for parts of the body that are injured..for example my mom can only get like 30,000 or so I think for her right arm, if it had to be amputated. It might be that since you do still have your breast, that you wouldn't be able to recieve a lot of money for it and the lawyer fees would take a lot of your settlement. Either way, good luck! You need a different, more aggressive attorney to pursue this for you. Also call the AMA and report this physician-if he has other complaints against him, there will be a record, and any medical malpractice attorney worth his money can get those records and run with it. Try a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon-some of them even do pro bono (free) work in certain severe cases as a public service. It's good publicity for them and good for you. It's worth a try anyway. Best of luck!
