riding bike?

Question:
when you ride your bike do you only tone up your legs or your whole body?

Answers:
Predominatly legs up to and including the glutes. You should be doing assorted crunches as well in addition to bike riding. This helps to keep your back flat when riding and takes the pressure off of your hands and wrists. Upper body exercises are good to add in as well to keep your grip free and easy on the handlebars and your reflexes fast.

You never know when a dump truck will swerve sideways and you will have to jump a curb or two on your bike and try not to slam into a lightpole and a mailbox. Or when a Mercedes will pull out of that side street and bounce you off of her hood into the road. Or when a police car will run you off the road while you are navigating over train tracks at a speed of 22 miles per hour (me, not the cop). All of which have happened to me.

Other Answers:
your legs primarily, and lower body in general, but any exercise is cardio and good for the heart.
