is a gender likely to miscarry more than another?

Question:
meaning, are boys more likely to get miscarried than girls or viceversa? just wondering.

Answers:
I'm not sure on statistics but chromosomal abnormalities causes some miscarriages and because boys have the XY sex chromosomes and girls have XX sex chromosomes, boys are more likely to suffer from chromosomal defects if it exists on the X chromosome (girls have the second one that can serve as a backup) so maybe boys are more likely to be miscarried in those circumstances.

Other Answers:
No, it has nothing to do with gender sweetie. If a woman has a miscarriage, then it's because of different reasons, but none of them are because of the sex of the unborn baby. It's a health issue, not a gender one.

I had a miscarriage at 19 and the doctor told me that there are quite a few women that do their first time being pregnant, but I don't know how true that is. Seems that most the women I know did, but don't get scared and take mt word for it, talk to a doctor about your concerns. yes, you are more likely to miscarry with a boy baby, because of the male hormones in the woman's body!
