what are some reasons, besides pregnancy, for late/missed periods?

Question:

Answers:
stress, anxiety, bad eating habits, a change in your daily routine that might be a drastic change, and also thinking or worrying that you might be pregnant. if you've just switched to birth control, it also might be a factor.

Other Answers:
There are actually a few reasons. Sudden weight loss/gain, stress or a marked increase in physical activity can stall your period.

Still, take a pregnancy test to be sure.
Well, that's a good one and easy.

1. Are you sure you are not?
2. Stress is the biggest factor that I know of.
3. Hormonal flux. sometimes very normal, so your period is safe as long as you are within that 3-5 week period.
4. Something that has happened to me is when I workout too much and lost too much body fat, I also miss a period, so you may want to make sure that is not the case.
5. Check with your gyno, but it's probably nothing to worry about.
indometriosis can cause missed periods. so can an orvarion cist. if you are young, your period may not have regulated yet. if you're older, menopause or pery-menopause can be a factor.its very important you check out the effects of indometriosis because this disorder can cause REALLY big problems in your future.
I know for me personally I had endometriosis and polycystic ovary disease and I would be late on my periods or not have some at all.
