How much does newborn circumcision cost?

Question:
I am expecting my first very soon and want him to be circumcised as I have discussed this with several friends who had theirs circumcised.
My friend told me that you have to pay cash for this up front. ?
Is this true? If so, How much are they talking about? Is there any other alternative I can get him circumcised. I want him to be foreskin free.

Answers:
why would you want to remove 40% of the mans errogenous tissue?have you ever cosidered that only 10% of the worlds men are circumsised?

this barbaric male genital mutilation is in fact worse than female genital mutilation.

in europe for example, circumsision is close to 3% and im guessing those are jews. I wonder where americans learned this from, perhaps the jewish population. even some savage tribes in africa dont do this.

For gods sake stop mutilating childrens sexual organs.

ask the father, or are u a single mom?

Other Answers:
If Mother Nature wanted us to be circumcised She would create us like that! Why do you want to direct your most precious person to a direction that he will have to agree and like? Trust Mother Nature more than some "professionals"!
Enjoy your child and you will be a good mother!
i have no idea how much it would cost, also i have no idea why you should want to have it done. unless there are any health risks for the child it is quite safe to leave it alone. there is no reason on earth why you should do this to your child..
$28.17

In patient or Out Patient?

In-$125-$225
Out - Could go as high as $500

Usually covered by insurance because it is a health issue.
It is not covered by insurance because its elective, and u do pay cash. You need to call your OB/GYN or hospital where u will deliver to ask the price. It is your decision and don' t let anyone tell u what to do.
Well if you are living in ontario I am almost 100% sure that it costs about $ 150.00 cnd at the hospital, however if you are of the jewish faith I don't think that you pay for the circumcision. Remember i am not exactly sure so research a little more.
