if you are on anti depressants - is it safe to have a baby?

Question:

Answers:
I do not think it is safe to be on any type of medication while pregnant. With the exception of folic acid and pre-natal vitamins. Some doctors say it is ok to take advil, but when in doubt, talk to your doctor. Better to be over cautious, than to take a chance with the health of your child.

Other Answers:
See your OB-GYN.
Yes, it is safe to have a baby. Speak to your doctor first. They might have to decrease your dose but it should be ok. Good luck with everything.

a lot of times they will see if you can go without the meds while pregnant...especially for the first three months and then put you back on them if your depression is too bad.....
