Is it ok to have sex the day before a gynecologist appointment?

I have an appointment with my gynecologies on thursday afternoon. I am supposed to see my boyfriend wednesday night which usually involves a steamy session of sex. Should this be ok or do I need to cancel/postpone?

maybe you and your man can think of something other than intercourse. If you cant see your guy without screwing him then maybe you need to take a look at your relationship not your gynocology appointment. If you are having any kind of Std test or papsmear performed then as a general precaution avoid sexual intercourse for 24 hours before the test.
