Can the chemicals in pool water cause infections in a womans vagina after she had sex in a pool?
Question:
Answers:
Every body is different. It might.
Other Answers:
I don't think it will cause an infection....but you may get what's known as " Dry Socket"...so keep it fresh and moisturized
You might be sensitive to the chemicals, but it is more likely other things that might cause problems.......
Is it a public pool? Who else had sex in that pool? There are all kinds of things floating around in that water from OTHER people.
sex in a pool, thats hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do yourself a favor and ask a professional like a doctor or someone.
I always remember hearing that this is bad and dangerous from my old high school sex ed classes...but then I read this:
I have heard that, due to forcing water into a vagina, intercourse in water can be harmful. Is this true?
Most likely not. It would be extremely rare for an air embolus to occur as a result of water being forced into the vagina. The only thing that I might be a little concerned about is the possibility of infection or irritation from the bacteria or chemicals in the water. But overall, having protected sex in the water is a fun, safe way to add a little splash to your life! When researching your question.
So, I'm a bit surprised, because I would not have thought it would the risk of embolus was greater, but sounds like it is not, although, just as you asked, it seems like an infection risk is possible. Take care!
If the pool is properly maintained, it shouldn't cause infections. Unfortunately pools are not always maintained the way they should be, especially private pools in backyards. More likely there were not enough chemicals in the pool and bacteria was developing in the water. It doesn't take much.
If you are having an issue with infection, please consult your doctor/OBGYN. There are other risk factors you will want to rule out like STD's.
it is possible if you are very sensitive down there. and most women are sensitive there. the vagina is a complexed and beautiful part of the body, please take care of it and it will take care of you.
the chlorine can dry you out but that is all that can happen. Chlorine cleans so there shouldn't be any bacteria in the water.
I don't think forcing chlorinated, dirty water into your vagina will do it any good, but as a previous answer states everyones different. Ask your doc or health nurse if you really are worried
