Im finally over my tampon fear, but when i used a small tampon, it wouldnt go up,is the whole small(vaginia)?

Question:
I tried them last night, and i followed the directions, but when i put it up it just wouldnt budge, every position i trid, standing on the toliet, on te ground, it would go up. Should i see a doctor or is it not that serious? my mom was thinking I should get small tamopons instead. and plus my flow is already really heavy as well. Im freakin out and thinking that hte whole were the tampon is sposed to go is too small.

Answers:
use the smallest ones possible at first and use the ones with an applicator, it really does take a bit of practice. i think you need to try changing the angle of insertion. you see the vaginal canal has a certain direction and you want the tampon to go that way. i have found it easy to insert them sitting on the toilet, you kinda want to direct the tampon a little upwards, not down or straight in. try different angles and see if it goes in easily. when you get it you will know it, but dont give up. every girl gets the hang of it eventually if she keeps trying, you dont need to go the the doctor just yet, try junior size with plastic applicators
Relax, You will be fine. Being tense while doing it makes it difficult. Don't worry about it. If you don't like tampons, don't use them. One day, you will find that it is not a bog deal and you will wonder what all the fuss is about. Until then, saddle a pad and don't worry about it. Your vagina is not too small. You are just too tense!
