9 year old daughter has one smaller kidney than the other, could this be a problem?

Question:
We are waiting for the follow up doctor's appointment, but as we wait can anyone shed some light on this?

My daughter's smaller kidney is approx. 1 cm smaller than her regular one according to the ultrasound. We were lead to do the ultrasound because she gets tummy aches a lot, no UTI's, just tummy aches several times a week. She is healthy and active other wise.

It's frustrating that they show you the films and tell you the areas of concern but do not/ cannot tell you what those concerns mean. I wish they wouldn't have told me the "concerns" and would just give me all the news at once! Now I have to wait 3 days for the Dr's appointment wondering and trying not to worry about my daughters condition (if she has one). Any input, anyone?

Answers:
nah dont worry, my cousins born with only 1 kidney and hes fine, just make sure nothing happens to her kidneys!
