Question:
Answers:
Are you sure it's an allergic reaction or did the wax take too much off? Sometimes it adheres to the skin and takes some of that away also.
If it's just where the wax took some skin away try some antibiotic ointment three or four times a day.
If you're sure it's an allergic reaction probably some cortisone cream for the reaction would be ok. Might want to check with your doctor or pharmacist first to make sure what it really is though.
Other Answers:
try chap lip sticks. I am allergic to nair and it was very irritating. good luck.
oooooooooooooh boy. Try Neosporin so you don't get it infected and keep it clean. cold compresses might help with any swelling or redness too. Maybe even try the medicated chap stick.......it's in a green container but i forgot the name .. darn.....well, the medicated chap stick might help the best. good luck to you
I would suggest putting antibiotic cream to speed the healing. It probably is not an allergic reaction, more like you were really rough to a sensitive area of skin. I had the same thing happen the first time I tried to wax areas of my face. Good luck
They probably just left the wax on for too long, and when they ripped it off, they ripped some of your skin off with it. Put some cocoa butter on it while you sleep and it will fall of. Use some aloe vera gel with vitamin e during the day.
Next time when you go to the shop, don't let them keep the wax on there for too long. As soon as they put it on, tell them to wax it right then and there. If they have to go over it a 2nd time, so be it.
You sure it's an allergic reaction? Was it the first time you waxed your upper lip? Just wondering because my sister in law did my eyebrows the first time I waxed them and they were SUPER red and swollen afterwards. She's a beautician (I forget what they call them these days) and she does that kind of thing all the time, and she said it'll go away on it's own, but that ice would help. She said it's very normal reaction for a first timer. She said some girls actually bleed (which is what I'm wondering if that's what you did). Might also try some neosporin ointment. Not sure if that'll clear it up in two days, but that stuff works pretty good.
use neosporin on it 3 times a day. sounds like some of your skin come off with it
try neosporin to help with the irritation, also, if you go to a grocery store that has a organic section, they sometimes have homeopathic remedies, such as arnica montana, that helps the healing process. In the future, be careful about waxing after tanning or when you have your menstrual cycle b/c then you are prone to more irritation for some reason. good luck though!
vaseline and Palmer's cocoa butter...good luck.
