any and everything you do while you are pregnant or have a child reflects on your offspring. they baby fetus is affected by the stress and anxiety caused by arguing and even though it may not physically affect it, it could mentally affect it. also, if you fight now, you may fight when you have your child. and fighting around children does affect them negatively in many ways. so be careful.
Interesting question; and there are many variables. Occasional arguments are part of the human experience, and can't be avoided; you're going to have differences of opinion with your SO; and under NORMAL circumstances, this won't be a problem. Constant stress, however, such as an alcoholic spouse, or one who has other addictions (gambling, drugs, etc.,) can cause a miscarriage or early delivery because the stress never lets up, and your constant anticipation of arguments, or fear of physical abuse can slow blood flow to the fetus, and cause developmental problems. Alcohol, tobacco and drug use on YOUR part can also cause the same things. HOWEVER--LATE in the pregnancy, a heated argument, and the resultant stress CAN cause the "bubble to burst", so to speak, and cause labor to begin days, even weeks early. Your overall health is also an issue; if you've been advised that you're a medium-to high-risk pregnancy, any type of stress can cause damage to your baby; or a miscarriage early on.

Again, everyone has arguments and disagreements; it's part of the way we are, and normally isn't a problem. A lot depends on your situation, both socially and physically. Your doctor can tell you more; you could also call or stop by your neighborhood clinic; they usually have nurses that are available to answer specific questions, and give you a quick check up to make sure you're both OK.

Sounds like it's your first.Good luck!
Yes, it's unwanted stress for you and the baby.
