Depending on the kids' ages, try and get them involved in making their tea. Studies show that kids who help cook eat more healthily throughout their life, and they feel more connected to their parents. And it makes it feel like less of a chore for you, it becomes more enjoyable.
I have kids too, and they're kids for so short a time, anything you can do to feel closer to them is good, and they should learn to prepare food anyway, so involving them is good for everyone!
