have any of you women ever had the IUD?

and if so do you get any complications with it I have had mine for 2 years and my period just came on 8 days early and i have real bad cramps i went to the emergency room and they said that it was a early period but this do not feel like that should i be worried

Answers:
I used them for years, between several pregnancies, and never had a problem. They don't mess with your hormones or have any unpleasant side effects. They were wonderful!

If you have had no other problems in the last 2 years, I doubt the IUD is the problem now. But check with your gynecologist to be on the safe side.

i many years ago had a Lippi's loop IUD it was all plastic materials and i was constantly getting sick which landed me in the hospital with serious problems the DR discovered it was the IUD that was causing me to be sick ... and it showed to be the culprit .. there was many controversies about a IUD that had copper in it that killed many women this pretty much outlawed them in the US personally i would get rid of it to be safe

I wanted one, but my gyno wouldn't let me b/c I have not had children yet. She said that it can cause abnormal bleeding and scarring. Be careful.
