Have you been to your doctor? One of the first steps in conquering depression is recognizing you have an issue with it. I have struggled with this- I have gotten help from counselors and doctors. How are you sleeping? Sleep and depression are sometimes linked. Many people, including me, have a deficiency in brain chemicals. Getting this regulated helps greatly. Talk to someone who is trained in counseling and who will keep what you say confidential. It really helps to have someone really listen to you and understand you. There are so many counselors who will work with you at whatever financial level you may be at. Did something cause this? (Loss of someone, a move, change in weather....?) I have struggled with depression since I was very young and I have a long family history of it, so sometimes it can be hereditary. I'm not a medical doctor, btw so please get professional help- I didn't want to because I thought that people would look down on me-- but you know when people know you are happy and well-adjusted- they are less apt to judge you than you may think. One more thing- has someone hurt you and you feel angry? Forgiveness can release you! Forgiveness is about you-- not saying whatever the other person did was right or ok. Sometimes people have carried guilt over something- asking someone else's forgiveness-- even in a letter they may never see can perhaps help. God is always ready to forgive and help as well.
