will the bad taste that lunesta leaves in your mouth go away?

Question:

Here's what I've found about the bad taste ( aka "dysgeusia" in medical terms):

A somewhat unique side effect is dysgeusia or an unpleasant taste in the mouth which, for most, is bitter or metallic and appears about 45 minutes to an hour after taking the drug. The bad taste may linger into and throughout the next day. It may affect the taste of food and beverages as well. This side effect appears to be dose-related with the 3 mg dose being the worst offender.

If that nasty taste is problematic, try having the patient take the drug with an acidic drink, such as orange juice, which seems to help.

Other Answers:
Yes. The bad taste from the lunesta eventually will lessen. One way to help relieve and lessen this side effect is by taking the lunesta with a cup of orange juice right before bed. I haven't had the unpleasant taste since doing that...
