Period after C-section?

Question: I had a c-section and my tubes tied in July 2004. Since then, my periods are long, heavy for 4-5 days, and clotty. Is this normal or should l discuss it with my doctor? I heard going back on birth control may help. Any advice??

You should discuss it with your doctor, but I have heard a few other women complain about the same things after tubals. I don't think it's anything terribly worrysome, but if you are uncomfortable or concerned, you should certainly talk to your doctor. Birth control is great to regulate periods and to reduce the unpleasant symptoms of periods.
