what could be the problem?

Question: a couple of months ago i took a pap smear and the results indicated that my cells were very abnormal, so they said i had moderate dysplasia! i then had to get a biopsy to diagnose this... when the biopsy results came back... the doctor said my cells were still abnormal, but not as abnormal as before, so now i have to get another pap test! could it be that my cells are returning to normal on their own.... what is going on?

Yea, your body could be curing itself. HPV causes irregular cells on the cervix but, most strains of the virus are not harmful and cure themselves. Only a few cause cervical cancer or genital warts and that's why paps are important. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and to get more information about your particular case.
