Has anyone ever had problems on the depo shot?

Question:

I have been having joint pain and a burning rash which also itches( I have to take medicine for the itch b/c it leaves scares if I scratch it). I have had this since December(on and off), a month after my last shot. All together I was on it for 15 months. They took me off of my birth control b/c I didn't know I was supposed to take in extra calcium. I was on the shot before and it made me sick all day. I went to the doctor in April and he said it was lyme disease. Well I took all of the medicine the doctor gave me and it seemed to work, but it's back.
I was just wandering if anybody has gone through the same thing or should I look for another culprit.

Just to add I am not allergic of anything I went through all of those tests in Feb.

I took the depo-shot about 5 years ago. That's the one they inject into you and you only get the injections like every three months, right? well if so, I remember having a very sporadic period, and I managed to gain about 30 lbs within the first 3 months of taking it. I have heard from others who have taken it, that it can cause strange things to happen. I am not a fan of that shot, and after the first injection I never took it again. I had too many problems within the first three months.

I was on depo for a while.I never had any problems other than hot flashes for a day or 2 after the shot.

My daughter in law was on the shot, It messed her up. Besides being allover the map it made her sick. She has been off the shot for a year now, she fineally started menses. I dont believe it is safe contraception. Any birth control is risky, try the diaphram. I was on the depo for 8 years straight. I never had any serious problems. I did however notice my weight staying the same, but my stomach getting huge, and I had to pee all the time. when I finally did get off of depo, the urge to pee all the time went away. My stomach got smaller with exercise. I did not have a period for 7 years, my first one was awful, since I had not had one in so long. My fourth one was normal. I have been on the depo shot for almost 15 months and have not had any problems at all. I was given a print out on potential risks and signs to watch for when I started taking depo shots and none of those are on there. If your doctor is saying it is from the depo shot then perhaps it is, but if you haven't gone back to the doctor lately and aren't sure if that is what is causing it I would make an appointment TODAY!

i was on the depo i had major cramps and very sick all the time I had hot fllashes and back pain i also got pregnant on the shot my son was born with a heart murmur
