What kind of birth control can I use?... I can't figure it out..?

Question:
I'm getting married in exactly one month from today (so the pill wouldn't be kicked in by then... but I am curious about it.) I don't know what kind of birth control to use really.. I am not a virgin and know that I am allergic to latex... I'm not at all worried about something that would block STDS (it'll be my husband, not a one night stand)... but we aren't looking to have a baby this soon.

We rarely have sex these days because we REALLY wanted to wait till the wedding to do that.. (the times we did we used the 'pull out' method which I know isn't smart... but it wasn't often and we got lucky.. but a late period scare open my eyes to how stupid I was being..)

Can anyone give me some advice on this? I'm not sure what to do for the honeymoon...

Answers:
Congratulations on getting married. If it werent for your honeymoon, I would encourage you to look at SERENA family planning method. Your husband would want to have sex in the "fertile times" too. If he could wait for 3 days at your most fertile time, then it would work.
Diaphragms with foam are certainly a possibility. So too are non latex condoms. The second listing below is for them.

Talk to your doctor about options.

One other thing. If you do go on the pill, make sure that you are off for at least 6 months before you aim to get pregnant. The number of spontaneous abortions in that window is large.

Other Answers:
Your gp/nurse can show you how to fit a cap or a sponge as a barrier method.

Happy honeymooning!
You should go on the pill... and then maybe use spermcides? Why not have the both of you get tested for STD's and that way, if you both come out negative, you won't have to worry about it.
diaphram, contraceptive lubricant

also, i think there are several brands of non-latex condoms for people like you. i believe trojan may even make one. surf condom company websites and check it out.

congrats on getting married!!
depo-provera injections......it is great birth control + you don't get your period for months! Ortho Nova ring.......talk with your health care provider....there are so many new ones on the market these days......
There is shot you can take. I forget the name of it but check with your ob-gyn they should be able to point you in the right direction.Good luck
Honey u r having the seious prob but as u r asking about the pills why dont u consult any sexologist that will be the better cure

& as far as ur honey moon is concern am always their.

that sit
You could try the patch. You'll need to get it about 2 weeks at least before you start having sex. Or you could try an IUD. It blocks the sperm. Heres a web site that explains abit about the different options. http://www.metrokc.gov/health/famplan/birthcontrol/gallery.htm
The sponge was an over-the-counter wonder. If something like that exists it is like a disposable diaphram without a prescription.

Skip the pill--too many possible side effects. IUDs are great once in place. For the honeymoon there are always condoms.
