Well drinking water is important for your health but one it's own it will not help. The way to get a flat stomach is to eat healthy, cardio exercise and crunches.

No. Drinking too much water is bad for you, it can put a strain on your kidneys..
Of course water is good for and it cleans out your system but loads of water won't do you any good except make you bloated and pee a lot.
Well I think if you feel bloated and icky you should drink less water. Its a good idea to try and loose weight by cutting back on sodas and juices by drinking water, and you may loose weight, but you don't have to drink untill you have water on the brain. As long as you are getting around 9 glasses of water a day you'll be fine.
The only tried and true way of getting a flat tummy is to work it out- ie: crunches and sit-ups!
It has been known to work for others. Drinking ice cold water helps rid the tummy of access water retention which causes the tummy to look bigger. Having it ice cold makes the body work harder at processing it.
The only thing that water does is clean out your system of impurities and keep you hydrated. Exercise is the key to a flat stomach.

the "bulge" in your abs that you are thinking of is just that, a bulge. it is caused by your gutbag pushing against you abs (ever notice that when you tighten your abs it goes away?) To get a tighter stomach do sit ups, but you will never really be able to get rid of the normal bulge unless you walk around with your abs tight all the time. And your right, how would water tighten your abs, she is proly jelous of you and trying to get you bloated.
drinking water just puts on water weight but can easily be tooken off though. it doesnt cause you to have a falt stomach ! you need to do situps and crunches

First off your friend is not very bright. If you drink too much water it can throw your bodies osmosis off causing your death. Try looking up death by water intake.
As far as you shape its self the only way to have a fuller stomach that is healthy is to work out your abs. As you work out it builds up your muscle tone.

drinking water just makes you feel bloated as you have obviously found out and obviously feeling bloated makes you not want to eat much, therefore you arent going to be putting on weight as you are eating less. drinking water is really good for you though its ment to detoxify your body. takes all the impurities out.
