Can you help?? mate having weird period things!?
Question:
Anyone have any clue what this could be?? She's too scarred to go to the doctor's.
Answers:
sounds serious get her to see the doctors immmeeediattellyyy
she absolutely needs to go to the dr! I'm not sure what to tell you..it could be a number of things. Convince her to see the dr.
she might have to consider facing her fears and going to see a doctor or looking up any symptoms on the internet. if you go to the doctors you may be able just to go to the reception and ask for leaflets on it... hope all turns out well xx
There is no way to go around this except if she is in pain and feeling as you describe.. she must go to the Docs as there are medical conditions that cause these painful conditions. I had something like that and all they had to do was fit the coil for three years and no pain.. no headaches.. no feeling bloated and having muscle cramps and prolonged periods.
Be a good mate and go with her.. sounds like you are the best moral support for her.. she is lucky to have you xx
has she started any new type of birth control? or any new perscription drug? check side effects.
then she has to go to the doctors. a month long menstrual cycle unless she's menapausal is not a good sign. this is not the type of question to be asking in yahoo. this could be the sign of something serious. wouldnt she rather find out the problem and treat it rather than being scared and in pain? it could be something as simple as endometriosis (yes i know not simple but not life threatening either and can be treated if not cured)
please tell her to go to the doctor. that is really the only smart decision she can make.
Being too scared is not an excuse. There's nothing to be scared of!! Get her to a gynecologist soon. He/she willl have all the answers, and will be gentle, and it'll all be confidential. Nothing to be scared about!! If she hasn't had a pap smear, it's definitely time for one. They don't hurt. Tell her to just look up at the ceiling and think about Hawaii! She's having blood clots, and if there's a problem (which there probably is not) she would want to catch it early. When there's pain, it's time to grow up, be a woman, and take care of business. :)
I'm no doctor but it sounds as though she may be suffering from endometritis which is a condition which is relatively common. It's basically the inflamation of the uterus. It can be treated with medication so your friend should definitely see a doctor and get it seen to. There's no need for her to be embarrassed - the doctor will have seen many women with it and won't think she's odd or unusual.
It could also be endometriosis - more information here:

Again, many women suffer from this condition so you friend really shouldn't be embarrassed about going to see her doctor.
she must go to the docs, go with her to support her if you can so she doesnt get too worried and feel alone and scared.
hope all goes ok
Get her to see the doctor.
if she is on the contraceptive pill that could be an explanation for it as i had it when i was on the pill, but if she isnt then she really does need to go to the doctor, i know it can be scary or embarrassing but its better than worrying all the time. reassure her that there is nothing to worry about in seeing a doc and you can even request a female doc, maybe she could take someone with her if she is that worried. moral support always makes me feel better.
