Answers:
Fallopian tube is the tube that the eggs from the ovary travel down to reach the uterus. It can be 'clogged up' by several mechanisms. You should ask which one it is. Also ask how it will affect fertility; it may not be permanently clogged.
Clogging may be caused by the inflamed ovary, excessive mucous in the tubes or by inflammation outside the tubes causing the tubes to compress.
I would ask that question to your gyno - although how did your doctor diagnose you by telling you that you have an inflamed ovary and how does he know that your fallopian tube is clogged up? You might have had a ovarian cyst that ruptured and that's what could be causing the infection/imflammation.
Best of luck, I hope that you get it sorted out soon.
The ovary is where the egg comes from and goes to a tube called the fallopian tube. If a woman gets pregnant the conception was started there and then the egg moves down in to the uterus and implants in to the wall of the uterus for the baby to grow.
What the doctor means is that you could have an infection of the ovary or fallopian tube. Infection of the ovary especially can be a serious problem for some women.
How your doctor could have told that the ovary was inflammed was by doing an exam of your abdomen, and where you said it hurt is how he would have known. As for the clogged fallopian tube I don't know how he could have told that unless it was swollen and causing tenderness.
But as one of the other posters said these are good questions to ask the OB/GYN. If you are in a lot of pain now I would call that office back and ask if you can be seen this week.
