Late period after morning after pill?

Question:
got my period on the 11th july. had sex on the 15th, the condom split and we never noticed. Took levonelle (morning after pill) the next morning (with in 12 hours). A week later I had light spotting, which lasted for about 3 days. I should have got my next period on the 8th august,4 days ago. I have a pretty regular cycle so i'm not used to being 4 days late! does the moring after pill do this to your cycle?

Answers:
the morning after pill can make your period a little early or late. but if it is more than a week late, you should take a pregnancy test. i would guess that you have been stressing out about it and thats why you are late. You were most likely not close to ovulating when the condom broke, so you probably would have been fine even without the morning after pill.
I have a friend who works at planned parenethood. She used the morning after pill and still got pregnant. It doesn't always work. Take a pregnancy test.
did you still have you period,b/c you might get pregnant. pills do not work to much
you didn't get pregnant if you had sex only 4 days after your period.

and yes it can mess with your period it's just a high dose of birth control which affects your hormones.
