Question:
http://www.columbuschildrens.com/gd/appl...

Read it... why does it say that it take women 0-18 and then 18 and up. Why would someone who is 11 or under go to an ob/gyn?

Answers:
I've known girls who have gotten their periods at 9, and one who got pregnant at 12. There are also cases where children are sexually assaulted, and exams need to be given.
If a child is raped or saxually assulted they need to get checked. After you start having sex (even if its rape) most doctors say you need to start having yearlys
these days kids as young as 9 are getting pregnant thats why, and to prevent cervical cancer
It is just an Formality.
Because sometimes 10 or 11 year olds get their periods. There have even been cases of 10 year olds getting pregnant. They do need a doctor for this kind of thing.

Also, they may have a problem down there, that only a gynecologist may be able to treat.
People as young as 8-9 can get their periods- anyone sexually active or who has been raped should be checked.
many reasons sexual assault, genetic deformities, bacterial infections, dermatological disorders, but the main reason is good health, from the time of birth we age and have different medical issues along the path of life these for 11 and under ages 11 to 18 more development issues then the birthing years and stds then the pre or peri menopausal years menopause itself and post menopause but you get the picture I hope, best wishes!
