Question about birth control pill?
Question:
Thanks for any insight!
Answers:
It has helped me tons! I wish I would have started the pill when I was 11! I would totally consider it and talk to your OBGYN and see what they say would be the best for you.
I never really had major PMS before the pill, but when I was on the pill I had 1-2 days where I had PMS terribly and then it just went away.
Yea i believe it helps out with ur mood swings. But it's mainly used by those who have serious physical prolemn before their period. Like severe cramps or they wanna keep their period short and light. but talk to ur doctor about it. She would know more.
yeah seems like it helped me anyway.
yes, it really does help and they have one now you don't even have periods. So you don't have PMS or any moode swings.
Yes it will help with the mood swings. Although...sometimes it can be a little extreme. The first time I went on the pill, I had NO emotions at all. It turned me into a robot emotionally. I switched to a different brand and felt better.
I know that the pill affects my mood in a negative way just before my period. I am pretty emo most of the time but I don't know if that is because of the pill or not. Good luck!
I think it depends on which type you take. I've taken several different brands but never really had any noticeable change in mood swings.
I'm on Seasonel, the one that gives you only 4 periods a year. I'm on my period right now and even though I didn't experience any PMS-associated mood changes I am currently in the equivalent of three periods worth of pain. If you have agonizing periods to begin with, I wouldn't recommend Seasonel.
Some do and some do not. My older sister had bad pms...she felt sad and cried a lot. She tried yaz (spelling) and it seems to have helped. There are pills you can take like allese and lutera (skipping the placebos) that allow you to not even have a period. I don't know if not having the period help pms or not.
What pill are you on? When I was on loestrin 24 I had bad mood swings. I just started YAZ so we'll see on this one. My gyno said its common with that other one to have mood swings.
ask your local OB-GYNE about your pill options. The good thing about the pill is that you dont menstruate, and yes it significantly lowers your mood swings because your hormones are regulated.
