GIRLS ONLY! question about period+school?
Question:
ps. we can't use the bathroom between classes
my backpack is to big to carry around with me
i can't leave a pad on for the whole school day
i hope someone can help me!

I know what you mean about the bathroom thing. In middle school we had 3 minutes to change classes. When I got into highschool we had 5, but more area to cover too, so going in between classes was hard.
If you have lockers in the hallway then keep a little stash in there inside a small bag. If your lockers are in a classroom then I wouldn't do that, you wouldn't want to inerupt a class.
In middle school we had a cabinet in the bathroom and a group of use girls got together and would bring stuff to put in there. You could also ask the nurse if she could keep some pads and tampons in there for the girls.
I used to have a pair of shoes called roos. They have a little pocket on the side. I would keep my lunch money in there, but I'm sure you could keep the compact tampons in the pocket too.
Go during lunch to change if you, stop by the nurses office to pick up what you nee if you don't have it. Most nurses have a bathroom in their office so you can change in there if you don't feel comfortable using the other bathrooms.
If you carry a pencil pouch for like your pens and calulator and stuff, you could get a little change purse to keep in there with some essentials.
I'm starting to run out of ideas haha. These are all things I've done and I'm still alive.
If the teacher won't let you do during class, just wisper to them that you have to take care of female stuff. If they still say no, then just walk out. My friend has actually done that. They really can't keep you from going to the bathroom, not going puts your life in danger.

get a small cosmetic bag to carry around with you, they even make discreet cases for tampons/pads

well put a new one in the morning
and change it right after school
so you can leave it in ur locker
or start wearing tampons

You could keep your pad/tampons in a sweater with a zip-up pocket.. Or you could also hide your pads/tampons in the sleeve of a long sleeved shirt. Tampons are pretty small so I'm sure you can keep them in your pocket. If you really don't want to do that you could probably wait till lunch and head to the bathrooms then.
i suggest u use a tampon cos you can leave them in for up to 8 hours if nessisary, and also at lunch or summin you can change it, if your in england and you have school uniform with a blazer you could easily put it in a zip up pocket, but if your in america or somewhere with no uniform, they can easily be stored in a pocket or something..
u can always carry around those small book bag looking things that atheletes always have
Tampax now has compact tampons in pretty little wrappers that make them look like candy or something. They don't say "tampon" or anything on them. You could always carry around one of those in your pocket. They're very small.

i used to slip them into my pockets, if it was the front pocket i would just cover the bulge, if it was my back pocket i didn't care, it could be a wallet for all they knew.
well, get regular thin wrapped pantyliners by always ( they are very small and thin) and get compax tampons by tampax. wear them and keep a tampon and a liner in your pocket and just go to the bathroom with them with you. good luck (a purse isn't so bad though you will have to carry them eventually)
Theirs nothing wrong with that cuz I do that. Iput a small purse in my purse so if my purse fell my stuff wouldn't fall out too.
If you can wait until lunchtime to change then change right before or after lunch. Or you could carry a pad or tampon in your pocket(you could wear a sweater or sweatshirt that has pockets when you have your period. Hope this helps.
I had the same problem. I asked the school nurse if she would put pads and tampons in the middle and high school girls bathrooms, and she did, so that helped. As for not wearing a pad all day, I suggest wearing a tampon and a pad at the same time, so that you won't have to change as often. Try changing it during your lunch break, or right after school. Also, if you keep a little box in the back of your locker with pads/tampons in it, you can discreetly slip one into your pocket and go to the bathroom. Hope this helps.
Can you get a smaller backpack and keep it in your locker? I know you probably need the big one to go to and from school, but you could have a small one for going between classes.
Girl you have to carry a purse. If you have a women teacher or even a man tell them you need to go to the bathroom cause of a womanly problem. You can also put a pad in your back pocket or coat pocket but they sometimes fall out.
If you use tampons you can put it in the side of your shoe, it usually fits. If you use pads you can put it in a folder or book.
i hate carrying a purse too so i put my pads in my back pocket of my jeans and when im not wearing jean i tuck it in my waist lineof my sbasketball shorts. i works and no one even notices
you cannot use the bathroom between classes? then how often do you guys get to go to the bathroom? we didn't usually get to go during class. really i think a purse might be your best bet.... if you have a locker its always a good idea to keep a couple pads or tampons in it or carry change for the pad and tampon dispenser if you have those...and really hope that they are stocked..
do you get to use the bathroom before or after lunch.. then you could keep your purse or grab your purse from your locker around that time or keep some in your backpack or something..if you are allowed to carry one that is you can take stuff out 2 make it lighter
if you do have to use the bathroom whille you are in class a purse is actually your best bet...

You can always use those Menstrual Cups. They're like Tampons but you can keep it in longer, up to 12 hours
you're not allowed to use the restroom between classes??!! That's ridiculous! What do they want you to do? Wet yourself?? You can get OB tampons, they fit in your pocket b/c they don't have an applicator.
hmm.. well i carry a purse, but also that beacause we arnt allowed to carry back packs around school. you leave it in all day but i dont like pads casue there kinda gross so i would use a purse but idk.
Maybe you can get a smaller bag of some kind to carry around with your pen/pencil/notebook/maybe a book or two, during the school day. It would be easy to toss your supplies in there.
You can conceal your pads in a small change purse or any little container (like a tin you get mints in). I took a ziplock baggie too to put it in when throwing away.
Lunch or gym class is probably your best bet for changing.
After the first two days of your period, you don't bleed as much, so you can probably get away with one pad for the whole school day.
Wear a pad when you feel like your period is about to start or your cycle is close, that way you will be protected at school in case you don't carry a purse that day. Carry an extra pad to school on days you are on your cycle and change during lunch; the school cannot allow you NOT to go to the bathroom. Or, begin using tampons, you can put in a fresh one before you leave for school (and use a panty liner at the same time) and by the time you get home, you can change the tampon for a pad.
These days, pads come in those cushy little packages and you can place them across the bottom of your purse with no one the wiser; when I was in school, all they had were those big bulky pads and we had to wrap them in a paper sack to put in our purse...and ev1 knew what they were!
