Question:
I know there is no way to predict exactitally when it will come, but heres a little info:

*I am 12 yrs old
*5'3"
*108 lbs.
*Play a lot of sports
*practically NO hour glass shape (1 inch difference from my waist to hips)
*30A

I know playing sports can delay it some, but i dont know aout hourglass, weight, ect. Any predictions?

Answers:
If you play a lot of sports, you will either,

a.) not get your period as often

or

b.) not get it for a while.

If you are twelve now and it doesnt seem like you have spurted too much yet, you might get it around 13 or 14, or maybe not even 15 or 16 depending on how fast you generally grow.

Nothing else really effects it too much as far as height , weight and your figure and all.
13 yrs old my friends told me
Soon, it's really going to hurt, like a balloon filled with push-pins coming out of your area.
Could be anytime ok ha
Well its no way to exactly know when you will get it. But your pretty close to the normal age girls start getting their period. I'd say give it a few months or another year.
sports can delay it because your weight is more musle then fat.
Each girl starts their period at different ages. I didn't start mine until I was 12, atleast three weeks after turning 12, and at that time I had friends who had already started since they were 10.

Everyone is different, but don't worry, it will only be a matter of time until you get yours too.
Sweety, some girls tend to get their periods at age 13 to 14 even 15. You might be one of those girls that get their period at that age. You shouldn't worry much. You're still young enjoy your childhood. Have fun and keep on playing your sports by the time you know it your period will take you by surprise. Take good care of yourself
The wet down there thing is cervical mucus. Girls generally start producing that a year or 2 before they start their period. You only start getting it when you start having higher levels of estrogen in your blood and eventually your estrogen will get high enough to the point that you will ovulate(release an egg), and then have a period. I would say you can expect your period within the next year if you've had cervical mucus for a year.

The white/clearish discharge that is cervical mucus is normal and not an indicator of an infection. It's only an infection if it's clumpy, itches/burns and smells REALLY bad. You will have cervical mucus for the rest of your adult life until you hit like 45-50 and start going through menopause, at which point you're gonna miss it!
ummmm, like 13, but its different for every one.

Why are all the guys answering this, that is just strange...
First of all, don't listen to some of those smart *** answers people already gave.

It's not painful, so don't worry about that. The truth is, everyone is different. There's no way to know when you're period will come. I didn't get mine until I was almost 18. But I wouldn't be to worried about it, you're not missing out on anything super fun.
at the age of 16..
Umm...that's called discharge. It's cells and tissues exiting your body using the vagina. It's not infection.

You'll start whenever your body is ready. There is no telling when.
Sweetheart, when a young woman starts their period, can be anywhere from 8 to 18, it has nothing to do with your age, height, figure or if you work out or not. Not eating properly can stop your period, so make sure you eat healthy.

Working out is a good thing, but in order for it to affect your period it has to be intense working out, like a professional athlete not what a normal person does.

Ask you mom when she started, most girls start around the same age as their moms did.

Regarding the swelling that is a different issue, the dampness is probably due to perspiration because your so active, it's totally normal, you will also have a discharge which is also normal.

Try to keep yourself clean and dry by washing frequently and don't wear tight pants that can cause swelling, if it continues go to a doctor and have it checked out.

Don't worry about your period, there is no rush, after you have it, you will wish you never started and it will last for probably 40 years so you have lots of time to have it, don't rush it.
Well i'm also 12 and haven't started my period yet. I'm a bit shorter then you and way a little less though. Some girls don't get their's until high school. You'll get it whenever your body is ready. About the wetness and how you think it may be infected it may be a yeast infection. Talk to your mom or doctor about it soon before it gets worse. But don't worry about the period situation your time will come just like mine.

Good luck. Hope I helped.
