Menses hasn't come for 3 months!?
Question:
hence, when y exams was round the corner, and my period didnt come, i thought it was a 'normal', or even usual thing for me.
but after my exams ended, and even after my holidays ended, my menses still hasnt come, and its not due to pregnancy.
iv been to doctors, and they say delayed menses is considered normal, until a delay of up to 6 months, hence they refused to give me any medicine
but i just feel very concerned
can anyone provide me with some possibilities?
thank you!
Answers:
you could suffer from sterility
you don't have menses because your body doesn't produce ovuls, and that can happen in an endocrinological disease (hormons) or from an inflammation of the ovary called anexitis which can be caused by an untreated vaginal infection that extended
but in anexitis you usually feel pain
you also didn't mention your age, maybe menopause is coming
also a pregnancy can occur not in the uterus but can be an ectopic one, and then the pregnancy test won't tell you that, case in which you need an ecography
they say it's okay to only have 4 periods a year so i would not worry to much and stress can cause a delayed period as well, so don't stress over it and it might just happen.
See a different doctor. Normal is 3 months not 6 months. Not having a Period for 3 months for can be normal for up to 3 months can be normal for some women but 6 months...NO.
Are you on any medication? Have they ordered an Ultrasound to rule out any ovarian cysts? Has this ever happened before? How old are you?
I don't know how old you are but if you are Peri-menopausal then this can be normal. If you are not then no.
Did you just go off the Depo-Provera? If yes then that is normal to not have a cycle for 6 months. If no then it is not normal.
It is ok. You can wait for some more time.
