Tamponhelp?

Maybe this is because you're still a beginner and you're only 12 years old. When you get used to them, tampons should take only 5-10 seconds to put in. If your tampon doesn't feel "right" when it's inside then you probably have it in wrong or don't have it on high enough.
When you put in your tampon make sure you're angling it towards your tailbone. The vagina lays flat so pushing back instead of up will help. Also make sure your applicater is inside of you all the way before you push in the 2nd tube. This will ensure you have the tampon in the right spot (=
Good Luck!
a lot of tampons have that insert with the pictures/information on them.. those can be really helpful. just relax and don't be nervous. I had to get my mom to help me when I first started using them, so if you're close to your mom, you could ask her for help.
u just have to relax

The tampon is probably too long when it expands and feels uncomfortable. Try the OB ones. They have no applicator but they don't get longer when wet, the get larger in roundness sort of. Try them. You will probably like them alot better.
Just keep practicing and RELAX. All of your muscles, even down there, tense when you're nervous (which will make it hard to push a tampon in), so do your best to relax. And as soon as it feels comfortable, don't second guess yourself, just get your finger or applicator out of there, so you don't tense up again during the insertion. The easiest position for me is sitting on the toilet with my legs spread open and relaxed on the floor.
I've grown up around a houseful of woman and raise my half sister and take care of my cousin so I know some about this. I don't know what type you are using but two positions you can try is either crouch down with knees apart or with leg up on the toilet or tub, take your tim
