I'm miserable...please help?

Question:
I've been on YAZ for about a month and a half, my dr. prescribed to go 3 months before my period. But this past week I've been cramping and having quite a lot of break through bleeding. I am basically on my period- suffering the tiredness, etc. Everyone says that its to be expected, but how much? When should I seek a dr. and will this happen every 3 months? I'm not sexually active.

I'm miserable, its like being on my period forever.

Answers:
Uggh, birth control can really suck sometimes. Cramping and some breakthrough bleeding as you call it is normal, yes. It usually takes about 2 months for your cycle to even out after taking birth control. No, this will NOT happen every 3 months. Once your hormones are leveled, you will be back to having a regular cycle and actually, with YAZ, you will have less cramping. Good luck to you.
