I raised two daughters and they always had really bad menstrual cycles. The best thing that worked for them was Midol with a Excedrin Extra Strength. I hope it works for you!

Might want to try Midol, which also helps with any bloating. A great "natural" remedy is calcium/magnesium.
anything with an anti-inflamitory like advil and aleve(the aleve works best for me) it works the best if you start taking it a few days before you're due to start.
