I have heard that douching can give you cervical cancer, is this true and if so where did you hear it from? I know everything these days give a person cancer but I was was wondering what others have heard on this one.

Healthy vaginas contain some bacteria and other organisms called the vaginal flora. The normal acidity of the vagina keeps the amount of bacteria down. But douching can change this delicate balance. This may make a woman more prone to vaginal infections, STDs or pelvic inflammatory disease.
Douching won't give you cervical cancer, but it's still not a good thing to practice. Douching strips the vagina of its natural bacteria and yeast levels, leaving you very open and susceptible to vaginal infections.
