Does having a cold affect the effectiveness of the ortho Pill?

No it should not, unless you are taking some sort of antibiotics, then yes it can lower the effectiveness of the pill. I was on ortho for about 3-4 years and i NEVER had any effect on it by just having a simple common cold and NOT taking any antibiotics.
