if my last period was on july 20th, could i have expected ovulation to have been from july 29th-august 4th? i know i had an increase in cm around that time along with some pain near mi ovary as well.

Assuming a 28-day cycle, your most likely ovulatory point would have been 8/2-8/4, or approximately 13-15 days from your first bleed day.
EDIT: based on a 32-day cycle, then your most likely ovulatory days would be days 15-17, or 8/4-8/6. The "ovulation window" is VERY narrow...24-36 hours on average.
It's possible. The fact that you complained of some ovulation pains and increased discharge on those days says that you probably did.
