I only got ONE answer before, so im asking again :(?

Question:
Okay, I really do not want to ask the question, "Am I pregnant?". I know that you all can not answer that. What I DO want to know is if anyone else has had the same experience as me. I am on birth control, although the pill I am taking is estrogen-only since I was breastfeeding but I have not been doing so for the last six months. I have not gotten on the combination pill yet. On that note, I am always always always regular with my period. I have it virtually on the dot every 27-28 days. That being said, I was due to have my period on the 5th of this month...nothing. I have taken 2 HPTs and they have both come back negative, granted I did not take them in the morning like some advise but I didn't know how much of a difference that would make. Even if my period is just late, I wouldn't expect it to be 9 days late regardless of stress etc. I am by no means stressing over it (although I probably should be) but I am trying not to worry. Has anyone ever been through this?

Answers:
I have a friend going threw almost the same thing. she had a tubal ligation (cut, burnt, the whole nine yards) and now she's almost a week late. her periods too are on the dot NEVER late. she took an at home pregnancy test she too didn't take it in the morning, she took it in the afternoon and it came up negative. she's giving it another day or two and if still nothing she's going to the doctor as i think you should as they can do further testing.

~~good luck~~
You could be late due to stress, exhaustion, and many other things.
Go see your doctor to make sure you are not pregnant, for sure.

Good luck.
First of all, you would most likely be on progesterone-only pills (mini-pills) because estrogen creates lactation problems in mothers and mammary problems in babies (this is why combo pills are a no-no while breastfeeding).

THAT being said, there is a chance that you might be pregnant...especially if you missed your pill by as little as only a few hours (yes, that's all it takes with a mini-pill). However, the chance is pretty small. My personal guess would be that your body has adjusted to the chemicals and has caused a cessation of menses (very common with progesterone devices such as the implant, shot, and Mirena IUD).

Just be safe and make an appointment with your doctor.
Take a test in the morning. It has higher levels of the pregnancy hormone than others (if present). Pregnancy and breastfeeding cause your cycles to be irregular for a while. So if you take 3 tests and all say no, then that's probably it. Ask your doctor to confirm, but surely that is it.
