I need to work out but I dont have the energy or the time! Anyone know of something I can take for energy?

Question:
Im a mother of two with a full time job, my youngest is 4 months old and i get up at least twice a night with him so by the time my alarm goes off at 6 am, I am so sleepy and way too tired to even think about a quick work out before going to work. And when I get off work, I pick up the kids and have so much to do around the house when I get home I dont have time to work out, and by the time the baby falls asleep around 10:30pm I just have to go to bed because I'm exhausted and have a long night ahead of me with the baby and I have to get up early. And throughout the day at work, Im yawning all day long...I need energy to lose my baby weight...and the time! Help!!

Answers:
That's the problem I have/had. I wanted to exercise to lose weight but I didnt have the energy so I went to the drug store and they gave me THE BURN for WOMEN to help boost my matabolism. I have been taking it 5 days now and only half the dose and I havent felt sleepy at all around 2pm like I used too. I have the energy to work out now. However I should mention my periods came 1 week early I dont know if the pills caused that or the Evening Primrose Oil that I am taking.
You have to start exercising to get energy. Drag yourself to do it like 2 times and then you should notice a change in your energy level.
the five hour energy shots they sell now are really great you don't crash afterwards and it gives you tons of energy, you can also get them at most stores, the only downside is that they are 5 bucks each.
any energy drink works
Eat your vegetables
energy drinks
Whew that does sound exhausting. You made no point to mention a helper or an significant other? Those babies weren't just made by themseelves. Get a babysitter or Friend to watch on somedays and go to the gym
eat lots of bannanas
I'm a crew captain under ground and walk about 15km every day, I normally take some lemon twist soft drink and add some salt. Or you can try some red bull...It gives you wings..
My mother was the same way, but that was because she had low Iron. Maybe you have low Iron in your blood. Or maybe you should take daily vitamins for women, eat more fruits and vegetables. Plenty of water too
Sounds like what you really need is help around the house and sleep! Improving your sleep will help a lot. Perhaps you can do some babysitting trading with someone else who has the same problem; so you can have some extra time during at least one evening per week to catch up and then try to get to bed at a decent hour the other nights of the week.
kids first.
what you need to do is find some help with the kids..mom? relative? plus once you start running you will be tired the first week, but after that you will feel more energenic
Hey!

Okay well, plenty of good nutritious food for fuel and plenty of water for extra hydration and MOST IMPORTANTLY! go to bed at 10:00!! I'm sorry but the 2 hours of sleep before midnight is the deepest sleep you'll get and it is the main time for bed for most athletes!! even if you go to bed at 2 am but wake up at 11 or 12, you still won't have the same energy.

okay so remember to rest GOOD LUCK!
hmm well i suggest the treadmill.if u have one then when ur babys r sleeping u should do an hour or 30 minutes.and for energy idk about all that other stuff but eating regular meals can help.on the treadmill u can go on watever speed that fits ur pace.
Do you take vitamins? Also certain fruits and Veggies will give you a boast also. Try to stay away from caffeine. Sure it will give you a boast but a short one and when you come down you will be even more tired. Check out this web page maybe it will help.

time released b complex, and vitamin c, make sure you are eating breakfast
I hear ya. You are working more than two jobs - taking care of two kids and a full time job and taking care of the house.. Kudos for handling it all!

As another mom of a young one, I can tell you this - you need some time for yourself - which you don't have.

Can you get someone to watch the kids for half an hour in the evening ? Or take the lunch time off work ? I started out by taking a yoga class from noon-1 which got me off a good gentle start with working out + was very relaxing.

Another thing - your youngest is just 4 months - it takes 9 months to take the baby weight off. So don't stress too much about it.

good luck and congratulations on accomplishing so much!
Whew it sounds like a lot for you. Red bull and the other energy drinks work, but they are just caffeine. What you really need is to get baby to stay asleep. there are techniques for this. try here. http://www.askdrsears.com/html/7/t070300...

You have GOT to make time for yourself. Figure where you can get at least 20mins to yourself everyday. It’s crazy- but it’s so true~ By working out- you will have more energy. You feel tired because you’re not exercising. My son is almost 6, but I remember those days. Try to get up with the alarm clock- if you can get some cardio every morning for just one week- then your body will get used to it and it won’t be so hard to get up in the morning. Then at work- figure out some ways to burn extra calories- park further away, take the stairs, hand deliver items to co-workers or talk face-to-face with co-workers instead of emailing. If it’s not hot- can you take a short walk at lunch? Or go to a mall and walk? Try to get a co-worker to join you- more fun and automatic motivation. I’d definitely see if there’s some housework that can be held off during the week until the weekend. Maybe you can find some time there. I like to do pilates videos in the evenings and love having that time to myself.
Red Bull gives you wings.
I know how you feel. I have a three month old and a two year old. First, one way to get your baby to sleep better at night is to get a cd of the internet called Baby Sleep System it is awesome my baby will sleep from 8-12 hours straight with this playing. Second I know it's hard but let some of the house work go for when your husband is home to help. Also avoid "energy drinks" in the long haul they will only make you more tired. Acai juice is great you can find it at health food stores drink 2-3 ounces in morning and in the later day when you are getting worn out. A great way to exercise with the kids is take them for a walk or find a gym that offers child care on site while you work out.
Best of luck.
