Will advil / ibeprofen make your period lighter?
Question:
Answers:
NO! If anything it will make you bleed heaver... These products act like aspirin and are mild blood thinners. They will help the cramps though.
(They won't make your period noticeably heaver.. and it won't hurt you to take them during your period...)
It's very effective for cramps and pain...nothing to do with lightening though...
Well they say on the packet for period pains so yes it will be fine to use it during your period.
It will help with the cramps, but won't make your period lighter. In fact, they've been known to increase the flow of blood from cuts and things because they make your heart beat faster. (I don't know if that would affect your period blood, but I wouldn't risk it.)
It doesnt make it lighter it just helps reduce or take away the cramps and backaches if you are prone to that.
Only birth control pills will make your period lighter. Over-the-counter analgesics will help you with aches and pains, but that is all.
Advil [or any asprin product] will make your period slightly heavier because they're blood thinners. ibprofen is good for cramps because it doesn't contain asprin.
Midol works really well for cramps and pains. Go with that, instead of advil or ibprofen.
no, taking anything with asprin in it (ADVIL) will make your blood thinner, therefore your flow will be heavier. if you need pain pills for cramping, dont take anything with that asprin in it. midol is a good choice. also, eating bananas helps with cramping, also.
good luck.
