Having problems with Nuvaring!!?

This is my 2nd month using the nuvaring and i'm having a lot of problems with it, first sex is really painful. it feels like my skin is tearing. second, i really itch, but i have no weird smell or weird discharge? what could be going on, is any of this normal??

It might be that Nuvaring is not the right contraceptive for you. I doubt that it's a sign of anything really serious wrong with you, but no, these aren't normal. I've talked with several women who have similar symptoms, and if you look on the Nuvaring side effects list, vaginal irritation is the #1 side effect.

If your symptoms don't get better, call up your doc. No one birth control is exactly right for every woman, and you might have better luck with the patch or pill.

I had the same problem and my ob said i was allergic and the itching and sex pain were because of an infection i got because of the allergic reaction. Go see ur Doc. If that is the problem u need to remove it before it gets worse. Also stds carry the same symptoms, so if you had unprotected sex I would get checked for that as well. Use a condom to protect yourself. don't have sex until your doc gives the okay because you may be able to spred your infection to ur partner. good luck
