I only get my period every 6 months, should I worry?
Question:
- I'm fully developed physically in every other way.
- I'm not particularly overweight or underweight for my height and build.
- I am about 5 foot 3 and weight just over 7 stone (not sure what this is in American units, sorry)
- I eat very healthily.
- I'm not on any medication and don't take drugs.
Answers:
yes go see a doctor
nonsense theres not such thing as periods and condoms do NOT cause cancer.
Yes. You should go see a doctor.
I would see a gynecologist. You should start to see one yearly around the age of 17. You may be put on a form of birth control to regulate your cycle. Some women are just irregular. Good luck.
I'd ask your doctor. That doesn't seem right to me.
And damn. You're lucky!
yes u should worry consult a physician
yeah, cuz ur suposed to have it every month. usually its regulated by when the women you're around most get theirs, but you're obviously not on the same cycle. its not normal to have so few periods - but i do envy you! still, i would definitely ask a gynacologist about it.
OMG!!
U should go to the doctors
that might be a serious problem!
Take care!
A Medical Question such as this is OK to hear what people say, but go to a doctor and ask that question. It may be OK, and then again, there may be a reason for the long delays in between periods. Don't take medical advice for this condition from people on the Internet who aren't Doctors.
It will probably be difficult for you to conceive a child, or likely you will have many miscarriages. Go see a health professional. Soon! It's likely your doctor will put you on Orthotricyclen (aka: birth control pills), that way you will have a healthy period every month.
Menarche were not the blessing mothers lie about and suggest as if some beauty of womanhood. Likely it were a curse given their prior perfidious natures.
my gym teacer told us that she had an adult friend who had her period twice a year, theres nothing really wrong with you but if you stay like that for the rest of your life it will be very hard to get pregnat because it will be hard to figure out when you'll ovulate.
um, seeing as you are 18, you should start seeing a gyno anyway, just because 18 is the age when every girl should start seeing one (or upon becoming sexually active). and while every girl's period varies, six months is a very long time to go without having one. i would advise going to see a gyno now. you could have a hormone deficiency or something worse.
I don't think this helps much but I think you should ask a doctor or whatever its called.
Well, make a gynocologist appointment, tell them the problem and get a pelvic examination. You could have a cist or another abnormality that is preventing your flow or it could be normal, as every womens' body and cycle are different.
Good luck
See a certified gynecologist, not a gyn-obstetrician. You should be checked out to confirm all is well. You may be a person who ovulates very rarely. Better to confirm all options now while you are young.
go and consult a lady doc
you need to take iron along with our normal diet.
