Why is my vagina sore?

Question:
iwas given antibiotics for a urinary tract infection which has cleared up.but for the past week i have been having alot of pain and itching around my vagina,i got canesten cream in my pharmacy for thrush,it has helped with the itching but not with the pain.i have no discharge at all. can anyone help its very uncomfortable. i havent had sex either so its not from that!

Answers:
Eliminate the thrush reasoning, but taking the oral tablet available over the counter at the pharmacy. Those thrush creams are absolutely useless unless combined with the oral tablet. Try it. If no improvement, consult your gp again.
Sorry I can't help other than to say get yourself to a Dr's!
Sounds like Vaginismus, get yourself to the gp and get some swabs taken and go from there
hmmmmmmmm, no discharge huh, pain and itching with chunky discharge is usually yest infection go see your gyno
You probably have a yeast infection, which is different from thrush, all though you dont see discharge. Buy and over the counter yeast infection treament like Monistat.
It's more than likely a yeast infection. You don't need the cottage cheese like discharge for it to be a yeast infection. All your other symptoms sound like it is a yeast infection especially since you just finished an antibiotic which is your culprit. It doesn't matter what antibiotic I take, I always get a yeast infection. Have since I was a little girl. Not sure what canesten cream is but pick up a box of Monostat and if that doesn't work you need to go to the doctors. Don't let it go untreated.
it might be stitas (carn,t spell it) but i know cranberry juice and drinking lots of water helps
antibiotics cause thrush try the pessary and if that fails see the doctor.
make me see your vagina to help you
