First of all, it doesn't mean you are short.
It means you have a small bone structure in relation to your height.
If you are 6ft and small framed, you will be bigger boned than a woman that is 5ft and small framed, but you will both be small framed for your height.

I'm not one- I'm 5'8", and when I was 113 lbs after a hormone illness struck, it was GROSS!
My bones are way too big for that.
Now, if I were the same height, but my hips and shoulders and everything were smaller, then 113 lbs might have looked good on me.
The body mass wouldn't have as far to spread, so it wouldn't look nasty.
It just means that your stature is short and petite really. It could also mean that you are regular height and just really thin maybe.
