A Hairy Problem...?
Question:
But....
On my underarms I shave them but it doens't do anything! It just trims the hair down to the surface, but you can still see it clearly! Like black dots where the hairs are waiting to grow. It's really embarrassing as it looks like I haven't shaved. Are there any other PAIN FREE ways of removing the hair, and making sure it doesn't just sit under the surface where the razor can't get to it?
P.S I tried hair removal creme on them, and it gave me mild chemical burns, that was two days ago and they're still sore. I have sensitive skin, and I'm 14. Thanks!

Make sure you shave both ways - first in the direction that the hair is growing, and then against it, and make sure you use shaving cream or gel. It can be tricky, because it seems to grow in a lot of different directions for me.
I get those little black dots. They are embarrassing aren't they! A bleaching cream would get rid of the colour of them, so you look hair-free even if those tiny bits are there.
Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. I hate the black dots too! It's stupid. And I had exactly the same problem with hair removal cream under my arms. Burnt all the skin off and hurt for a couple of weeks! However, I would say that most people get the black dots, and unless you're looking really closely, it looks smooth. You could also try waxing (be very careful because that hurt me on one armpit (bled), didn't remove the hair on the other, and it sounds like we have similar skin) or bleaching...I forget what people use for that. But what worked for me, and I don't know if it's recommended or not, is letting the hairs grow a little bit until they were 2mm or so long, then plucking them out. If I pulled right then the root and all came out and although they went back pretty fast, it got rid of the dots. Even though I missed some, I just shaved the rest and there were fewer dots. You could also try a professional treatment, waxing or depilation (whatever it's called, electrolysis thing or whatever) Otherwise I'm afraid the dots are just a shaving side effect.
If you react to hair removal cream you are going to react to bleaching agents! Also, if you have a sensitive skin, shaving can make your skin red and sore. There are hair removal creams for sensitive skins and I would suggest you use one of those. Your pharmacist will advise you on the best one. I definitely would not recommend waxing on someone with sensitive skin!
