When will my period start now that I'm on BCPs?

Question:
My Dr. put me on birth control pills to regulate my cycle. I'm on the white pills now. Can I expect my period to start any day now?

Answers:
Yes you can. In order for your period to start, your body put be off of the hormone pills (colored) for at least a couple of days. Normally most women do not get their period until 2 or 3 days into the inactive pills (white). You should be getting your period soon. Don't worry if it goes into your hormone pills, sometimes it does. This is normal.
Everyone is different, but my period usually starts on the 3rd or 4th day of the inactive pills.
