Whats a good age to loose your virginity?

Question:
I am 14 years old. I masterbate but i really want to have sex. I always thought of what my boyfriend thought ( he's 16) about it but he doesnt talk about it. i want to have sex with him but am i ready?? When did you loose yours?

Answers:
only you will know when your ready, 16 is the age of legal consent for sex but this is set to avoid immature children getting into situations they dont have a full understanding of. it is rape before 16 regardless of whether it was consentual so this may be why your bf hasnt said anything. either that or the fact that maybe he isnt ready yet. perhaps he has more respect for you than to push you into doing something you may not be ready for.

if you feel ready for sex i would try to wait til 16 but if you cant, make sure your protected. get some birth control pills and make sure you take them as directed but also use a condom as you can still get pregnant on the pill and condoms also protect against STDs which can become fatal or make you infertile.

do it only when you are really ready or you'll regret it in the future when you meet mr Right and you've already given yourself to someone else. also think about the reputation you may build for yourself, doesnt look very good when people see a young girl having sex at such a young age, what would your parents think?

im not trying to be judgemental, im just trying to give you realistic advice and how you may feel in the future. do what you feel is right and remember you can always change your mind and say noif your not as ready as you thought.

all the best x
i lost mine at 13 lol

It gets loose when you shoot babys out
cuz your dead beat boyfriend didnt wear a condom LoL
14 is very, very young. Physically you might be ready but can you handle everything else? Do you know all about the hymen, birth control, STDs, those sorts of things? Are you sure you can trust your boyfriend, you won't get too upset if he dumps you straight away or only wants sex afterwards?

Myself, and most people I know, did not do it until several years after 14. Masturbating is best, LOL!
When you are ready you wont have to ask, you will know. Don't do it with someone you aren't totally in love with, you will regret it later. I lost mine at 16 and I'm still with the man I gave it to. It is something special don't just throw it away because you are a normal horny teenager lol, give it to someone you plan on being with for a really long time and someone you know loves you also and wont leave after they get it.
I really would reccomend waiting until your at least 16. It may sound boring, but there are so many implications. If you do, make sure you use a condom as well as any other contraceptive device - and take a pregnancy test afterwards. Safe sex is better sex.
Well, I am a man and a man cannot lose his virginity like a girl. You are too young and your bf can be legally in trouble. so, don't do it. the best age is when you get married or are in a long term relationship as a self-supporting adult.
14 Aye?
Every time you have sex, you are taking the risk of falling pregnant. As the woman in the relationship this is going to mess your life up much more then the male. If you are prepared to take that chance, power to you but seeing as I'm a 16 year old male and I still don't want to take that risk you shouldn't feel ashamed.

There are also social implications of having sex as a teenager. Being called a '****', 'whore' and a chick 'who puts out' are all common labels. Just make sure you have sex with your boyfriend for the right reasons and you are completely sure about it.
You can never regret waiting, but you can regret doing it.
Im 24 and still not. Your marriage is the best day to loose your verginity.
Everyone is different- I was 14, and looking back on it, for me personally that was too young.
The average age for females to loose their virginity in Australia is 15, although it varies from state to state.
I think 18 or 19 is a good age because most females really 'know' their body then, but if it feels right and your protected go for it. Just have a really good think about it (as I see you are) and make sure your not being preassured.
i dout that would be a smart idea , a good age is about 16-18
Regardless of your age, ask yourself this question: Can I handle the responsibilities and consequences of sex?

Yes. Sex is fun. It's also complicated and messy (both emotionally and physically).
- Do you know how to effectively prevent STIs and pregnancy? This is more than just condoms (which only give you about 85% against pregnancy with regular use), but how do you use spermicide? Where can you get birth control? Do you know where you can get Plan B if a condom breaks?
- If you do get an STI or get pregnant, can you handle it? Do you know what to do or what you would do?
- Are you mature enough to visit a gyno once a year for a pap smear and to get tested for STIs regularly once sexually active?
- Do you have the resources for all that? Condoms, birth control, Plan B, STI testing, pap smears, etc. all costs money.
- At your age, do you know about the laws of consent in your state? Even with him 16 and you 14 he could still be arrested for statutory rape if the age of consent is 16. This could result in jail time and him having to register as a sex offender - which would ruin his life.

If the answer is no to ANY of those then you are not ready to have sex. Only you can answer those questions for YOU though - not your parents, not your partner, not anyone on this message board.

I had sex for the first time when I was 16 and my partner was 18.
After you turn 18.

You are too young to be having sex.

You MUST think about the consequences of having sex.

Pregnancy

STD's

You are not ready if you have to ask others "am I ready?".
The heck with STD's...you wanna kill yourself with the aids thing that's all you, darlin'! Now...contemplate having a baby! Kids are for ever...ask your mom! Masturbate all you want, shower massagers, vibrators, devices...whatever...wait to have actual sex (penile penetration) until you're out of the home and can support yourself. Babies having babies is a good portion of what is messed up in our society. And the girl above that said she waited until 16 ad is still with her bf? She's probably all of 17 or 18 now. It's very rare to stay w/ the same one very long. WAIT!
