Is sugaring good way of waxing?
Question:
I keep reading that girls and women are mostly using razors and wax to remove the hair, but what about sugar waxing? anyone tried that? I was also wondering, if sugaring would be much better, cause many girls and women have problems with shaving. so I read on wikipedia that its less painful and ingredients are natural. is it good?
Answers:
Shaving isn't painful if done right. Sugar waxing is painful if done wrong. With a bit of practice, sugar waxing produces no odd reactions (but if you don't have the speed, direction and quick motion down cold, you will see red blotches from the pain you'll cause) and it is definitely effective.
Basically sugar is sticky as it is crystallizing, the sugar wax traps hair and you rip off the hair fast. The quicker the rip, the less skin stretches. Skin stretching and tearing (at the cellular level) is going to be the biggest source of pain if the action is not quick and firm. Pull against the growth and not with it.
I read this in a magazine, they said Sugaring was virtually painless cept for a little redness the first time they did it. But after a couple of times the redness became nonexistant. Better than waxing, definately
