Its up to you, but you can maybe ask for lots of pain killers, and be totally heavily sedated.
l have two kids and it still scares me but honestly the pain doesnt last long and its instantly over with as soon as baby is born and there is nothing more satisfing and loving than holding your own child for the first time, dont watch the shows if it freaks you out too much
You know what? I used to be in the same boat. I worried from the time I was 12 and listened to an audio of my mother giving birth to my brother.
I made myself sick over it when I was pregnant. And guess what happened..my son was breech (something we found out in a routine ultrasound) and he never turned so we had a scheduled C section.
Then my daughter came along very soon after; too soon to try natural so I had another scheduled C section. No pain. Of course there are pains after but nothing excruciating.
So I worried myself sick over nothing!
Think about all the billions of people in the world. Most of them don't have access to hospitals or clinics, or pain relief. And babies are born everyday. It is natural; your body is designed to give birth. It isn't anything you can't handle.
