Pelvic Pain?
Question:
Heres the deal... along with that I also get frequent UTIs, and excessive abdominal pain. I am worried that I could have something else going on. I have been to a few different doctors who don't really seem to care. They do as minimal as possible, and that's about it.
Any answers or info would help.

Is there any possibility that you might have IBS? Have you seen a gastro specialist? I'm set to see my gyno and will most probably end up having a laparoscopy to diagnose whether or not I have endometriosis as that's what my doctor is suspecting. My doctor has said that if nothing comes back I have to see a gastry specialist as endometriosis and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) often can have similar symptoms, but he can put a 101% bet that I have the endo due to my symptoms of intense painful periods, irregular periods, bleeding between periods, pain with intercourse and pelvic pain.
Ask your doctor about refering you to a gastro specialist its' worth finding out. Good luck, I hope it all goes well for you.
First of all, I'm so sorry you are going thru this. Its so frustrating making the doctor rounds, trying to be proactive about your health and feel like you're getting nowhere. My heart goes out to you.
Could it be scar tissue and adhesions? They're a common bi-product of any surgery. Unfortunately, they also create little web-like homes which are the perfect environment for new endo to get entraped and to grow. Sad reminder: endo is often spread during Laps from the tools in use -- just having touched endo tissue, and then sift thru looking for more endo sites spreads the endo. As documented by http://www.endometriosisassn.org...
If you've just recently "come down to ground zero" with your endo growths (post-lap I mean, don't think the D&C would effect), but if the growths are gone/almost gone (like post Lupron injections --ick!) then I think the best treatment is to prevent more endo from growing, by preventing periods. Continuous low-dose birth control pills -- I swear thats going to be the treatment of choice for endo sufferers in the next few years.
If only I had listened to my gut and never come off the pill twice a year, I wouldn't have grown the endo back... leading to more surgery as my uterus swelled so & I bloated out like I was 7 months pregnant, resulting in abdominal hernias (areas were weaked by clamps used in previous surgeries).
But back to you. Scar tissue & adhesions? Such a BEAR to deal with. I begged for pain killers. And got them. I found answers for all my endo questions in "The Endometriosis Resource Book" by the Endo Assoc (http://www.endometriosisassn.o... They have a new book out now too with cutting edge (heh heh) treatment options that I'm prolly to late for, being that I'm now castrated. Their material is Top Notch. Plus they recommend Drs known for sympathizing with endo. They have a free 24/7 crisis line with the sweetest, most empathetic gals on the other end of the line. Do call them, it will be such a source of comfort as well as insightful.
Good luck to you. I hope you get the answers you're searching, and the correct treatment you need.
